Please remember we are not the emersion garden & do not limit your time visiting with the tulips. More kinds of tulips go thru our doors then anywhere in the world. with 6 million bulbs planted in ground, this is a site you do not want to miss.

With the end of Tulip Time 2026 we would like to thank everyone who came out to see us. Monday starts the planning of Tulip Time 2027, with more new Varities & great times. watch our facebook page for great care tips as well as information on new things.
Gardens close 1hr prior to Stores
Eastern standard time ( 1hr prior to Chicago )
summer flowers will start blooming around early July.
Each Variety of tulip normally last between 3 to 14 days
With 6 Million tulips & 850 Kinds planted here. Many kind of tulips start out only being seen at Veldheer's & the Netherlands grower. Veldheer's is a must
Vern Veldheer was born Sept 25 1925
He started Veldheer's Inc. with 100 red tulip and 300 white tulips in 1947 post WWII. He still works 60+ hours a week. He life has been an inspiration to many in our community, staff, family, & myself.
