VELDHEER’S REQUIREMENTS

- You have been out of the USA in the last 30 days
- You have been exposed to the Covid 19 in the last 45 days
- You live in any of the following counties: Genesee, Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and Washtenaw in Michigan; Cook, Lake, Dupage, Kane, Will in Illinois; Allen, Cass, Hamilton, Johnson, Marion, Lake, Saint Joseph in Indiana and Cuyahoga, Lucas in Ohio; Milwaukee in Wi. This is for health and safety purposes for our staff, city and other visitors.
- You are not feeling well, or have an elevated temperature or any Covid 19 symptoms or any family members feeling ill or been quarantine in the last 45 days
Please be aware that we have made some changes on how we will be handling our customers.
1 All staff will be required to wear a mask.
2 Hand sanitizer will be at the registers.
3 We will be wiping down the baskets after each use.
4 Customers will be required to wear a mask in compliance with the newest orders for our state (some exceptions do apply per the executive order).
5 All employees will be checked for illness.
6 We will have social markers to make sure that all customers are at least 6’ intervals.
7 We will be limiting the number of customers in the store at one time.
8 We will be limiting the number of cars in our parking lot.
9 We will not have restrooms available for the public to use.
10 We will be wiping down the counters and credit card pad on a regular basis.
11 We will be limiting the number of people in the gardens.
12 Entrance into the flowers in the field will be on a donation basis. The customers that have purchased the tickets can use them next year.
13 Please be courtesy to others regarding the social distancing.
If you love to garden, our garden center will be ready for you. We will be putting our perennials on line so you can shop in the comfort of your house.

Our current hours are:
Monday and Tuesday: 11am-3pm
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10am-4pm
Our Tulips have finished blooming for the season, and our summer flowers are starting to bloom nicely.
Important dates:
Tulip Time is May 1 - May 9 2021.
We will be open during Tulip Time 2021 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm with the gardens closing at 7:00 pm
We are on Eastern Standard Time.
With 6 Million tulips & 800 Kinds planted here. Many kind of tulips start out only being seen at Veldheer's & the Netherlands grower. Veldheer's is a must to visit when in southern Michigan
Vern Veldheer was born Sept 25 1925
He started Veldheer's Inc. with 100 red tulip and 300 white tulips in 1947 post WWII. He still works 60+ hours a week. He life has been an inseperation to many in our community, staff, family, & myself.
